Upcoming Masterclasses
I’ve spent most of my life in technology and the media - I’m a Cambridge computer scientist, a MASSIVE geek, and of course I’ve hosted BBC Click and other tech TV and radio programmes for over a quarter of century.
And now I’m going to be spreading the love and sharing what I’ve learned, by hosting exclusive, free, live, online Masterclasses.
Each will be on a different topic, and they’ll be a mix of crash courses, Q&As and in-depth expert interviews, and I’m hoping you’ll find the topics very useful in your line of work. Think AI, security, quantum computing, presentation techniques, communicating complex stories, and so on.
Masterclass One
Given that I’ve been a presenter for about 30 years, I decided to make the first session a Presenting Q&A. It’s for anyone who has to stand in front of a camera or mic - they may be early in their presenting career, or they might have been co-opted to front videos for their company. Maybe they want to make social videos for their business, or perhaps host a podcast.
If that’s you, I hope this session will be really useful.
It won’t be a lecture or a course - this is an Ask Me Anything session, so come with your questions. Whatever your problems, challenges and queries, the chances are, I’ve had them too!
The details
This will be a live, online Zoom event, on Monday 14th July 2025, at 12:30 BST.
To take part, it would be best if we can see and hear you throughout the session, and a good internet connection always makes things better!
You’ll need to be 18 or over to take part, and I’d like to record the session and clip up some bits for social media.
